Yes, I'm still talking about hardware mode and not software. ![]() You might not notice that delay when it gets faster or when it lags timer because it doesn't actually affect game framerate or refresh ratio but it's never the same and sensitive to geometry or physics. Let's say game started to cheat and seconds moved faster than real time (I counted xd) and sometimes slower. This because when you start new game all slots are empty, but during first race they are filled.Īlso I discovered something repatable on several machines after years, of course first noticed this on In Cold Blood. This works in any following groups, to get +1 more than needed for all. xdĪPO for first group is locked on 5/5/5 but you can override additional slot, if you pick up any next one it can actually reduce slot. What is cause of this? Need to play like machine to the miliseconds of every part rendered? Result should be equal to my skill and how I drive not to some random stuff. Still playing the same way with the same time left between checkpoints. Now if you ask, I played the same mission with the same save, the same way with no mistakes and had 3 results, one 15 left, second 35, third whole damn minute. I never crashed, had slow down or did any error and did 1 lap in 30-45 seconds. It has only 1 huge shortcut in cave filled with explosive stuff and other one from too big height to save time accurately. You can play it perfectly, yet in other situation you can play worse. Nope, that only prove it's random for every player not related by skill. ![]() They weren't challenging or added diversity at all, even more, completely opposite, boring player until he/she beaten that damn mission locked with same 3 levels like in prison. To put it in few words: they were anticlimatic, killing atmosphere of fun ped/car smashing gameplay, so different and distracting from regular game. I needed Blood Riveira which has less mass than 3 and less speed but is perfect for that while in air or on snow/ice with 2 seconds remaining when hit last checpoint. I repeated that damn In Cold Blood 95 times on Normal thinking by logic that car with best speed and handling will be perfect but no. I can't imagine doing it on hard if I want harder and satisfying vehicular combat on new fun maps but I am blocked and turned down with unplayable missions with time limits out of reality, in way they are random than challenging. on Normal difficulty you had barely 15 seconds lasting to finish all laps on Boulder Dash, 10 on In Cold Blood and 7~2 to hit last object In Eye of Beaver. They were luck based, not related to skill because anything could happen during mission and you needed to be perfectly perfect with no mistakes or delay else - restart. No missions in classic modes this time, only separate Challenges mode. Not by design of environment or task to do but mostly because they were not made or balanced for difficulties other than Easy, just simply late implementation and added less time on harder difficulties without proper testing. ![]()
